We Are Here For You
1) Awareness is Golden
The first step in solving any problem is to know that you have a problem. This is why the Addiction Help Agency believes awareness is golden.
2) How high is the mountain?
The second step in solving any problem is to work out how big the problem is, in other words, how high is the mountain that you need to climb? It might be that you can solve the problem yourself without any help. But if you have tried to do that and it hasn’t worked out, then you need to consider what help you need based on how the high mountain is. The solution is obviously different for everybody. At the easiest level it may be that you can solve the problem with bibliotherapy, in which case we recommend, “Holmes’s Complete Guide To Stop Drinking Alcohol; The Easy, Mindful and Pain-free Way” on Amazon. For others, a video course is the best approach and we recommend Craig Beck’s “Stop Drinking Expert Video Course.” (If you are struggling financially, and you mention you were referred by the Addiction Help Agency you may receive a means-tested discount, which is something we offer, too.) And for others, the only one that works is one-on-one counselling. Our live online one-on-one twelve-week Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy is the best solution for many for a permanent transformation.
3) Get the help you need
Whatever help you need we are here for you. After you enrol in our programme we offer a full initial assessment to determine the unique individual objectives and priorities for your twelve-week programme because everyone is different. This Cognitive Behavioral Therapy programme is structured to provide you with all the skills and tools you need to stop drinking permanently. You will also be provided with all the resources you need to complete the homework between your weekly 45-minute sessions at no extra cost. The price is equivalent to £50 GBP per week (payable 12 weeks in advance), and in cases of financial hardship this fee can be reduced, or waivered, by means-testing on receipt of bank statements, by contacting us by email or using the above form. Our mission is to help everyone who asks for help.
Once you are a member you will be able to book your preferred weekly time slot, be sent all the instructions for completing your initial assessment, and be able to text/messages your counsellor in a private room 24/7, although not call directly. Live one-to-one contact is limited to scheduled counselling appointments because a counsellor may obviously be engaged in counselling others outside your own scheduled time.
If you have any questions about the 12-week programme, please call, email or use the form above to contact us.
We look forward to helping you any way we can.
